OBJECTIVES
In August 2020, one of Australia’s leading fitness activewear and supplement brands wanted to migrate their existing portfolio of influencers and brand ambassadors to their Commission Factory affiliate program with a view to:
- Provide faster and more flexible commission payments
- Accurately attribute sales to specific Influencers
- Access transparent and real-time reporting
- Provide better monetisation tools for Influencers and Ambassadors
- Streamline and automate payment processing and invoicing
SOLUTION
Considering many social platforms have restrictions on redirects within posts, using a tracking method that does not require any click-based tracking links significantly increases conversion rates and sales attributed to influencers.
By utilising Commission Factory’s clickless coupon tracking technology, the brand was able to attribute commission to a specific influencer based on coupon redemption without the requirement of an associated click. This protected the commission for the influencer and prevented coupon leakage, whilst avoiding commission duplication by attributing on redemption only. A fast and easy onboarding process, accessible tools, and an intuitive platform made it quicker for influencers to connect and promote the brand.
Commission Factory’s platform enables all Influencer and Ambassador owed commissions to be consolidated into one invoice from the brand; when coupled with the ability to pay out weekly to partners, the Commission Factory platform automated and streamlined the billing and payments for everyone.
Influencers and ambassadors were given complete flexibility over their payout thresholds as well as the format and currency of payments. Because Commission Factory converts currency before paying out commission, influencers are not subject to bank transfer fees, meaning more overall commission for the partners.
RESULTS
By utilising Commission Factory’s clickless tracking technology, over an 18-month period influencer activity drove over $4 million in sale value to the brand’s program. 92% of total influencer sales were attributed thanks to clickless tracking codes, which might have been otherwise missed or non-attributed. Influencers on the program are earning an average of $11.5K in commission annually, which is paid out to influencers on an automated regular payment schedule. The average pay-out timeframe for the program was 27 days from transaction tracking to payment being made to the influencer.
